The Fruge Fete on Southern Weddings

This Spring, we were lucky enough to be a part of the stellar team that helped execute Tess and Bernard’s unique wedding in New Olreans.

They chose the Etoile Polaire Masonic Temple as their reception venue, a very unique, historical building just outside the French Quarter / Marigny neighborhood.  Their style was playful and they wanted an outdoor, vintage look that would pair well with the storied venue.

The evening of their wedding was enchanting, thanks in part to Kim Starr Wise, who knocked the floral design out of the park!

Tess gave us quite the shout out as well saying:  “We were psyched to work with Emily Shaya from Pret a Fête rentals in New Orleans. She has an awesome selection of vintage furniture that helped us give the reception a distinct style beyond the typical table-chairs-centerpieces.”

Our friends over at Southern Weddings featured this wedding on their blog as well, be sure to check out the full post here.

Thanks to the Heirloom Collective for capturing such spectacular images!

Fétes Des Chefs

This past weekend, the John Besh Foundation hosted a special fundraising event– Fétes des Chefs. 10 chefs cooked dinners that were served in 10 different locations around New Orleans.

Pret a Fete was thrilled to participate in the event as a sponsor!  We were also thrilled to see some of our favorite inventory items featured in the gorgeous photos that were posted today in the Billy Reid New Orleans Journal.  His post captures the elegance of the event, and is such a good example of how the right decor can contribute so much to the ambiance and style of an event.

Head over to his blog to read more about the event and enjoy the pictures for yourself.
